Busy Weekend!

We had a fabulous weekend. It was incredibly busy!! This weekend was Jackie's birthday. We had a fabulous party with family and friends. It's amazing how God blesses us in little ways. For me, August 3 would have been a terribly sad day, but God replaced that and gave me something to celebrate instead. I baked my first German Chocolate cake. I don't like chocolate cake, but I have to say, it was yummy! We called it the "Earthquake Cake." I didn't get the top layer flat, so when I put the candles on the cake, it split the cake. Jackie was a great sport when everyone was teasing him that it was because there were too many candles on it.

Thank you family and friends for sharing this special day with us. Jackie, thanks for letting us share this day and celebrate with you. God, thank you so much for blessing this world with such an amazing man. I've never known someone who trusts you so completly. I want to be more like him everyday!

This is Taylor helping Jackie open his new golf/pool game. How do you play? We have no idea, but it looks really neat!!

This is our dear friend Danielle. She is the most prayerful, spirit-filled woman. If you are ever down, spend one minute with this lady and she can cheer you up. She reminds me to keep looking to the positive. She's an amazing friend to our family!

This is our favorite singer, Andy. Come listen to him play all over town. Our favorite place is Thursdays at Leal's. Another amazing man. He's got so many talents and uses them so well. This man is truly gifted. I'm still waiting for my Andy Cundiff original painting!!

Tonight we had our first playdate at our house. Taylor sees lots of kids at daycare, and we go to Xavier's house to play some. Tonight, he came to our house. They were so cute! It was a lot of fun. I thought one toddler made a mess, try having two! Tornadoes have nothing on these two! Come back Xavier and play again!

I took this picture upside down. But I just love Taylor's expression. She seems so deep in thought. She has gorgeous eyes. This picture shows them off. Look at those eyelashes. SO BEAUTIFUL!!

She loves these swim floaties, more on that later.

This has to be the best picture I have ever snapped of her. She is gorgeous here. I love her smile, and look at her teeth! She has such personality, and is such a good little girl. She minds so well, and is so friendly. I couldn't ask for a better behaved little one!!

I can't remember the last time my dad and I took a picture together. I actually like this one too! I have great parents. I pray that I can do for Taylor what they do for me! I see a lot of my dad in this picture, I see a lot of mom in me too. You know I wasn't adopted for sure!!

Taylor loves shoes! She wants to wear Mommy's around the house. It cracks me up. You should see her walk. Look at her pretty pink toenails!

Have I mentioned that Taylor LOVES the water? I think I have in every post. This week a very nice lady from work gave us some floaties for Taylor. Taylor has a float that she can sit in and float around, but these are the ones that you blow up and put around her arms. At first, she didn't like them. But once we got in the water, she loved them! She started kicking her legs and almost swimming all on her own! I was SO excited. It was so cute. These other people in the pool had a beach ball. So she would hit it and then we'd kinda give her a little push and she could get the ball all on her own. Then she would sit on the steps and say, "one, two, three," then jump to me. She's getting so big!!

This morning when she got up she wanted to put the floaties on again. She is sitting next to me with them on. It's funny! I just put them on her forearms, so she has a hard time climbing up on things like she usually does.

Jackie got this little chair that's just her size. She loves it. The only problem is she wants to sit right in front of the TV. I always move her chair back, but then she picks it up and moves it right in front of the TV.

New Life

This has been a wild year already. Things are better than they ever have been! Life is great, for the first time in a long time I can say that and mean it with my whole heart! Taylor is growing like a weed. She's such a big girl now. She is talking up a storm! She says everything. My favorite thing she says now is, "hold me please!" It sounds like "ho-me-peas!" It's precious. She loves animals, and blankets. She is becoming attached to her blankie. We love to snuggle up on the couch and talk. She's abig helper. She loves to help cook and unload groceries. She's not good at cleaning up yet though. She likes to make the mess, but not clean it up.

She loves to pray. She says, "God Thank you Jesus Amen!" It's the cutest thing I have ever seen. Sometimes it makes me cry. She is so smart, I know everyone says that about their kids, but she really is.

Work is fabulous. I really love my job! I work with great people. They are so much fun!

Jackie is just as good as always. He is so good to me and Taylor. Taylor loves spending time with him. He can make her laugh SO loud. They have a great bond. She always wants to be with him and see what he is doing. We are all three having a great time and just enjoying being together.

Well, finally I have gotten a computer and internet so I know I will update more often. Here are some pictures so you can see how much Taylor has changed.

Taylor playing with bubbles at the Credit Union picnic. She was so dirty after the picnic, but she had a great time and so did I! I just love her pigtails!

Our first bike ride. She loves to ride in this contraption! She looks out the little windows and just talks and talks. She takes off her shoes and puts them in the little compartments. It's so funny!

This is one of my favorite pics of us. It's a little old, but it's still cute!

Taylor and me riding the tram in Albuquerque, NM. It was a lot of fun. She loved the snow at the top of the mountain. She kept saying, "Wow!" as we looked out the windows.

Mommy and Taylor blowing kisses to Jackie. This was at the cross in Groom, TX. She kept pointing to the statues and saying, "Jesus." It made me so proud of her! Then we walked and had to sit on every single bench in the whole place. She loves to sit on things and then she says, "sit," and she wants you to come sit beside her.

This was the fourth of July in Oklahoma, with all Jackie's family. She had a great time. They had a blow up jumper. She didn't want to get out of it at all. She laughed and played and jumped all day. So, of course in Oklahoma you have to be an Indian. The feather was stuck in her little ponytail. It was adorable!!

This is crazy bathtime fun! I love her smile in this picture. She is such a happy little girl. She is so friendly. She says Hi to everyone! She thought her hair was so funny in this picture too. She laughed when she saw herself in the mirror.

This is Taylor climing the rockwall at church. She's about 12 feet in the air. She loves to do this. Jackie has a group of kids that he works with on Tuesday nights at church. They love to see her climb. She laughs and wants to keep going up and up. Mommy gets scared before she does. Jackie never takes her higher than I can stand. It's so cute to see them share this activity!

Taylor and the horse. She really liked this horse, until it neighed at her! It sacred her and then it wasn't any fun anymore!

The three of us before the picnic. I love all of our eyes in this picture. I took the pic myself. Taylor was smushed, and she didn't like it. But, it's a really cute picture.

She loves curly hair. Here's a great picture of her with curls. She is really good at sitting still while I put the rollers in her hair. She loves to dress up. She loves her purse, backpack, bracelets, and necklaces. She doesn't like headbands on her head, she puts them around her neck. It's funny!

I couldn't make this picture turn the other way. It's a great picture of her swinging. She has a swingset at my parents and she will spend hours out there on it. She says "wee and Wow" it's great fun!!

We are in Oklahoma City in Bricktown. We are riding the water taxi and she is talking on the phone her cousin Emma gave her. She loves the phone. Everything in our house is phone. Remote Controls, shoes, combs, anything she can find.

This is her first ride at Wonderland. She loves to ride the carousel. Once it stops she says more, more. She likes to ride one handed so she can wave at everyone as she goes by.

This is her goofing off. She has lots of teeth, but still gaps in them. It's funny when she shows them to you. It's a cute face, but I can't get a good picture of it yet. When she sees your belly, she tries to tickle you. She says tickle, tickle, tickle. Then she wants you to tickle her. It's a great game!!

Halloween 2007

Well, I know it's been entirely too long since I last posted on this page! Things have been really crazy around here. Taylor and I are living with my parents right now. We are all six moved into the new house now. We really like it. It is nice for now. Taylor and I will be getting our own place soon. We need our own space, but it's so wonderful to have family.

I've been thinking about family a lot lately. Family can be anyone. Just because they are related, does not make them actual family. Real family are the people who always stick beside you and do whatever they can to support you. They are the ones who call to check on you, or just to chat because they know you need it. They are the people who really care. The people who will go through the tough stuff with you, just because it's the right thing to do. I love my real family. I really do!! To those of you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Many of you know how incredibly hard the last few months have been, but you have been there by my side, listening and really supporting me. You'll never ever know how truly thankful Taylor and I are!

So, now here's what you really came for . . . new pictures!!

What a beautiful smile!!

Aren't the pumpkins cute! She liked doing this!

Mommy, what is inside here? Can I eat it??

It was a wonderful first Halloween!

Just a cute picture, she got caught doing something she wasn't supposed to be doing!

I LOVE this picture! She was the cutest cow I've ever seen!

She laughed everytime she saw her reflection in a mirror!!

Look at that cute tail! She was all over the yard exploring!

Mommy and Taylor. We were all bundled up, it was cold outside!

Isn't she adorable? Look at that tongue!

We had a great Halloween. Taylor was the most adorable cow I've ever seen! She's such a happy baby! She loves to smile, talk and laugh. She's been the greatest blessing in my entire life. She really makes me slow down and be thankful for all the blessing I do have in my life.

Taylor and I made a trip down to Dallas a few weekends ago. I can not believe I did not get one single picture from that trip. I have the most adorable neice and nephew ever! Taylor had so much fun playing with them. Thank you to Josh and Cindy for letting us come crash at your place! Check out their page too! Ok, now you guys are on the spot and have to updated it too!

Check back soon, I'll try really hard to keep the pictures coming more frequently!

Race for the Cure!

Saturday we all went and participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure. The credit union put together a team and so we all joined in. It was a good time! And for a great cause. We are already talking about doing it again next year. Four generations fighting for a cure!

A cute family picture. It was nice to be all together for a little while!

I love this picture. Strength in numbers.

We all had a great time! It was amazing to get to do it together. There were over 4100 people walking for the cure! These are our credit union group shirts and the survivor shirts. They are really cute! Mema looked so cute in her hat and shirt!

Taylor had too much fun and pooped out about half way through the race! It was an adventure.

Granddad and Taylor. What an adorable picture!! We've had so much fun with them here the last few days!

Granddad is helping her jump. She loves to play with Granddad and copy what he does.

Taylor, GG, and Granddaddy. Taylor was telling GG something very important. Too bad we can't understand her yet.

Taylor's new Pajamas. She was laughing so hard!

They came with a hat and it made her look like a Christmas elf.

Taylor and Mommy!

We're all ready for Christmas. She loves this Frosty. You touch it and it starts to sing a song and sways.

Aren't these overalls the cutest?
